Warning: The stairs have that shadow issue that came with Pets release, and unfortunately, the usual fix method (editing the SSAO setting for that particular object) doesn't work with stairs.
As I'm fed up of this issue in general and that I find the Sims 4 ambient shadow pretty useless and ugly, I disabled all the SSAO, read here if you want to know more.

September, 28th - Hot Fix! I've been informed about a weird bug with the rug when you moved a Sim in a lot where an escalator rug was installed. I've redone both of them, and it seems to have solved the problem. I'm sorry for not having noticed that earlier, it's true I had tested on a community lot and on a residential lot but without moving Sims out/in.

Attention: Les escaliers ont ce problème survenu avec la sortie de Chiens et Chats où une ombre passe au travers de l'objet. La correction habituelle (désactiver le SSAO pour cet objet) ne semble pas marcher pour les escaliers.
Comme j'en ai marre de ce problème et que je trouve le rendu de ces ombres d'ambiance plutôt moches de toutes façons,.j'ai désactivé le SSAO une fois pour toute dans mon jeu. Cliquez ici pour en savoir plus.

Correction importante du 28 Septembre! J'ai été informée d'un bug étrange causé par les tapis de l'escalator lorsque des Sims emménageaient sur un terrain où était l'un de ces tapis (j'avoue que j'avais testé sur un terrain communautaire et sur un terrain résidentiel, mais sans ajouter de nouveaux Sims...). J'ai refait les tapis et le problème est corrigé. Toutes mes excuses pour ce désagrément!
